      Working in Operation Planning at Ferrero

      Pros

      International environment (Our team is really international, with 10 nationalities for 14 people. The work environment is great (Casa Ferrero, and above all the canteen :)) I'm proud of the Brands and the company in general.

      Cons

      To me, the career path is a weakness Ferrero needs to work on, for and with each employee (the internal and parallel moves (changing functions for example) are not that easy. Also, the grading of the positions should be reviewed, and shared with a proper methodology (I believe all the Category Planning positions should be rated at least P3, which is not the case). The company is working on transparency, which is good (sharing the promotions, internal moves etc...) but there is still work to do.

      Is a rapidly growing environment where there is an informal rapport among employees at almost every level of the organization. Open discussions and sharing of ideas are not only encouraged but also appreciated. Additionally, the company offers a good level of employee benefits.

      Cons

      While the company excels in fostering a collaborative atmosphere, I have encountered challenges regarding career growth. There is a lack of personalized development plans, and roles and responsibilities can often be unclear. This ambiguity makes it difficult to ascertain available career opportunities and chart a clear path for progression. I would have appreciated more guidance and support from the company in terms of identifying and achieving my professional goals. Furthermore, it is important to note that while the work-life balance is theoretically facilitated, the actual workload can be so demanding that it becomes difficult to adhere to the designated work hours. Although the company promotes a healthy balance between work and personal life, the high workload often stretches beyond the allotted hours, making it challenging to maintain the anticipated work-life balance.
