Pros

Pros: close team members were good to work with, team members from other locations also communicative and positive. Some free chocolate here and there, although NOT the good Ferrero stuff so don’t get too excited

Cons

Cons: unrealistic RTO and commuting policy- didn’t listen to employee feedback about commuting with such high gas prices, AND teams meetings are still online, so why are we coming to the office for an online meeting??? Toxic work culture- if you are a woman, stay away. It is a hugely Italian-male oriented business culture, old world values and team members were ignorant/ didn’t take feedback well and not open to opposing ideas. Vulgar behind the scenes and take majority of credit for work that was done in a team. AND no personal space at times. Gotta speak fluent Italian/ understand it in order to communicate with any higher ups internally. NO COMMUNICATION- with managers, at times too busy to even detail roles for the week/ month due to acquisitions in the company/ over-saturation of new hires. Meetings were inconsistent and cancelled DAILY/ rescheduled. at times, they were completely unnecessary and not productive. No career map/future goals- never had 1 solo meeting with my manager about my goals for the new quarter. Felt like they did not care about anything I could contribute to my role. They treat contractors VERY differently than permanents- I had 0 access to information I NEEDED to do my job for weeks, have been left out of company meetings, emails and teams invites. I am forced to travel and act like a permanent employee without any of the actual perks OR benefits. My personal clincher: trained a new employee, only to be usurped and replaced. Just stay the heck away!!! Would never recommend.

Pros

1. Great brands. 2. Direct supervisor was not a micro-manager and great to work for. Fully supportive and excellent communicator.

Cons

1. Toxic culture 2. Close-minded senior leadership 3. No work-life balance - emails/texts sent all hours of the day 4. Perception based company - no trust to accomplish work and manage the customer if not visible. 5. Growth is inhibited as a company due to aforementioned points. 6. Corporate HQ believes THEY are the customer.

Favoritism for men

Pros

Most of the people are good, they just don’t stay around very long.

Cons

If you’re a woman, you should probably work elsewhere. Only men have any real mobility. They are given exceptions and women are overlooked. It’s a constant grind and leadership doesn’t know how to motivate.
