Pros

Flexible work environment and schedule, top automotive supplier, diversified portfolio.

Cons

Constant cash objectives prevent employees from actually being able to do their job. People go around talking about how great the processes are at Faurecia, however, good luck ever actually finding the written out process people are trying to hold you to. The hiring freezes prohibit replacement of key personnel. Instead you’re just expected to perform your job along with those who have left. Management just steps back and doesn’t realign teams with what resources they do have left to actually help people. Faurecia probably has some of the worst leadership I have seen in the industry. In fact it’s not leadership, it’s management... very big difference.

A place to work

Pros

A very large company. You can just be a cog, if that is what you want. A full suite of benefits. Several good employees.

Cons

Compensation is probably a little below average. For such a large and established company it is surprisingly disorganized. Turnover is fairly high. Even accomplishing simple tasks is oftentimes a struggle.

A sad example of how to not manage a facility (Columbus South MFG)

Pros

The pay is ok, but no longer extraordinary. Whether it aligns with the ever-changing expectations and stress is up for debate. There is potential with the company if things change.

Cons

Other reviews have hit the nail right on the head with this place. I'd list all of the things one by one, but that isn't the real problem. The root of the problem with the Columbus South plant is the site management, or the lack thereof. Things like production numbers trumping quality and safety, lack of communication on both the group and personal level, high turnover rate, and general chaos appear to be more about managerial incompetence while the toxic culture, dishonesty, unprofessional behavior, lack of respect (especially for America and Americans), and public shaming and finger-pointing seem to come from a more malicious place.
