Never ever thought I would wind up in insurance and actually like it! I always lumped insurance agents into the same category and used car salesmen. I was SO wrong. The culture at Family First Life is about helping families. We help families protect themselves from a worst-case scenario. This is what sold me on getting into insurance. Family First Life is not about the hard sell they are about helping people who want to be helped. I love my job.

Cons

At this job you are independent so you are not a worker and need to save for taxes and other benefits yourself.

This job works if you take the time to put your ego aside and listen to the methods of the top producers. It takes some study, some time, and the ability to step out of your comfort zone. It's not a get rich quick scheme, but you can do very well if you put in the effort and make learning a priority.

Cons

Hard work all the time. Pushing yourself is hard but worth it.

Pros

Excellent training for agents! The president and people who train have ALL worked in the field. The comp is outstanding as are the people who run the company. It is work. Do not expect a handout but you will have success if you work for it.

Cons

The work life balance is hard since the weekends are when you can make the most money.
