Pros

Fully remote position. All full-time employees start with 3 weeks of paid vacation.

Cons

Low pay. Invests very little in defining and documenting processes and procedures--Appears to be a company-wide phenomenon.

Thank you for your candid feedback and sharing that FIS has a supportive and talented workforce. You mentioned pay raise in your con, so we wanted to share with you that FIS’ compensation philosophy strives to provide competitive pay around the world in the regions we operate – with an emphasis on rewarding performance, to help us attract, engage, and retain the best talent. As part of our pay for performance philosophy, we have a formal pay review process each year and annual merit increases are based on company performance. The increase a colleague may receive through this process considers several things – including evaluation of the colleague’s performance, their existing pay compared to the range for their role and the company’s budget for increases. Since you have identified yourself as a current colleague, we encourage you to report any of your stated concerns through the internal channels available to all colleagues.

Pros

The only advantages that come to mind are that they offer some remote positions and provide some competitive salaries depending on the department.

Cons

The department I am currently a part of lacks organization and structure. There is an absence of clearly defined job descriptions, resulting in a lack of clarity regarding individual roles and responsibilities. Additionally, the management team appears to be ineffective in managing personnel and addressing issues within the department. Instances of bullying and disrespectful behavior are tolerated, and when brought to their attention, the response is dismissive, placing the blame on the individual rather than addressing the root cause. Furthermore, there seems to be a lack of support for professional growth and development. Opportunities for growth are presented but are accompanied by threats of retraction, creating an environment that stifles personal and professional advancement.
