FIS ruined Worldpay

Pros

Make sure you filter the reviews by area to make sure you are getting a better idea. - usually good coworkers, at least in my area - if you're lucky, good direct management - good amount of PTO, if you are in a department where you can use it all - things might get better with the spin off, if you will be on the Worldpay side and can last until actually happens

Cons

- downhill after FIS acquisition; things were good as Worldpay - FIS does not care about retaining talent - pay below industry level - minimal raises, if at all, even if you get a good rating. Executives seem to put this on the employees for not "being engaged" at work - no bonus unless management - benefits are mediocre - layoffs done with zero clue how they'd impact teams, yet we keep hearing about "we're hiring - zero Fs given about career development in practical application, though there are lots of "rah rah" bs programs that do nothing useful - threats are starting about in-office mandates, even though *not enough seating for everyone * "hotel seating" system is not enforced and is chaotic AF * if forced to go in, no way to guarantee you will sit with your team. So much for "connecting" *desks clearly not being cleaned every day *apparently we need to "connect" to protect the "culture".....just stop. This is buzzword nonsense, and most people that want/need to go in already are. The rest of us are more productive from home. You just don't want to admit it because you are spending money on the buildings and need to justify the cost.

Pros

Can work from home (although HR is forcing a return to office without any actual concrete, data driven reasons, since this company is global, most people work with those not in their geographical location).

Cons

Leaders have their favorites, and even poor performers just get shuffled into a lateral leadership position, and still rake in bonuses, whilst everyone else gets a new manager, no bonus eligibility, and no raises. Leaders make up rules for their areas (that are not the rules of HR) of who can get raises and who can't based on arbitrary interpretation that suits their needs. As a financial based company, the finance department is not accurately tracking finances, which is abhorrent. Cuts/layoffs are made reactively based on a piece of news and then leaders get upset that nothing is delivered on time (delivery promises made to clients when teams were at full capacity, did not account for potential reductions). Those promises to clients do not change, even with massive staff reductions. Lots of "thanks, we are having a great year", but no actual monetary reward or other significant recognition.

Pros

Benefits are better then most companies and 3 weeks paid vacation to start that you have to use every year

Cons

Raises are not based on cost of living at all! Promotions are slim and it’s a popular who you know game versus what you can do.
