Pros

Broad range of roles and diverse career opportunities. FIS does business with a wide range of financial and mortgages businesses that allows employees to gain experience in various aspects of financial and mortage banking. The general workforce is vary talented and strong team work is pervasive.

Cons

Lack of corporate strategy and senior management's lack of consistent communication to the workforce. The revolving door created with mergers and acquisitions consitently creates an environment that has people "looking over their shoulders" wondering when they will be the next one to get a call from HR. Employees do not have a clear understand of the company's overall business objectives.

Pros

Our manager is really good and treats all the quality employees or even employees who try to do right but catch on slow with respect. everyone treats me with respect. Everyone in the department gets along. ork environment is cool b/c we get to listen to our radios with earphones all day and the work at least for me is pretty easy. All and All i'd say it's a good company with some growth potential.

Cons

The health insurance is so bad, you're better off buying insurance independently. This company has no loyalty whatsoever. I worked countless weekends, nights (overnight sometimes) and was never paid any overtime or even offered a comp day

Pros

The employees are the best reason to work for Fidelity National Information Services. I am always impressed by the high level of competency that is displayed by the employees and middle managers that I have dealt with throughout the company. The majority of managers and employees are very knowledgeable about what they do and they do it well. The company also has a pretty good work-from-home policy. Although, not all managers have embraced working from home. The 401K is pretty similar to most other 401K plans. However, FIS does have a good employee stock purchase plan.

Cons

Having always worked for smaller companies, I was expecting the benefits package to be pretty good. However, the benefits package is one of the worst that I have personally seen. Premiums almost doubled from my previous employer. The number of vacation / personal days is less than what I had at my previous employer. No bonus/incentive plans. Low Merit increases (typically 3% max) and merit increases were canceled all together in 2008. Sometimes Long Hours - Work hours vary. Some weeks will be 40-50 hours. Others 60-80. Senior Management appears to be out of touch with the employees.
