Pros

The pros are ability to work remote & co-worker who mostly want to excel & do a good job.

Cons

As a manager I wind up working usually from 7am to 5/6pm. (10+hrs/day). A lot of times with no breaks. I work about 10 hours over-time without getting compensated. Add to that inflation going up to a 40 year high to 10%+ (and other services/& products going up 20%). It gets frustrating when you see on LinkedIn that you don't even get a market salary. A few other experienced managers in our department left over the last few months. Senior management told one manager they couldn't give him a raise & to work fewer hours. But, they wouldn't give him another employee to cover the work. So, why even say that? Some of the learning classes are a bit ridiculous. I believe in respecting everyone in the workplace. But, FIS seems to push empathy & understanding over competence, understanding, & getting the job done. I have worked for FIS over 10 years & have never gotten any real I.T solutions to automate a number of manual processes.

Pros

I don't find any to declare

Cons

This is worst company I have ever worked for. They fired me in corona time and saying me this is due to redundant role in the team. Although at the same time, team including me were taking interview for hiring new talent at the time of firing. I don't know why. Was this really the correct reason. If this was redundant role then why you hired me 10 month back. At that time the management/ manager doesn't clear that this will become redundant role(lack of planning). Lot of office politics. Worst working environment. Micromanagment by manager. This is not just product base company it is also a service based company in which there are support projects as well. No work life balance. Manager expectation is to work more than 12 hrs. If you don't follow this then manager will assign more task. With no inputs Everyone is facing this type of torture by the manager. Everyday working there was just a torture. Manager use to say other team members " don't help new joiner I have hired them with more than your package ( Again unethical talks by manager). Some time manager follows you till wash room to take the status. When you left from the office in evening then he start follow you catch up at company door and ask for meeting. Join only if you dnt have any other offer.

Pros

Worldpay is who I was hired by and they were bought by FIS. The culture at Worldpay was amazing and managed to keep that intact after the acquisition. The people are the best. Coworkers, managers, and even directors really care. There is a lot of support and teammates want to make sure everyone suceeds. Once FIS started bean counting things changed Dec 2020 - Jan 2021 - See Cons

Cons

The corporate leaders, talk a great game about being the last company you ever work for but not the last job. Next thing you know, mass layoffs with no warning, with no thought to how it affects the current employees and processes. The benefits aren't great and the 401k match only happens after 3 years of employment. I was one of many affected by the layoffs. I was there 2 years so bye-bye any matching contributions. Bottom line it's all about the $$$. People are dispensible.
