Pros

Job security. Transit benefits and leave accrual. Starting to adopt the telework generation.

Cons

ASI hiring system does not credit military aviation maintenance experience. They will not hire you at your current salary upon retirement from the military they assume you are a FV G or H band entry level ASI no matter what your experience/education level is. Still the "good ol' boy network" of old rooted in 1990 technology ASI's who are overly dependent on their union. They say they want youth but they don't mean it.

Pros

Work with smart people, with an awesome mission, lots to learn from seasoned vets, training opportunities

Cons

High expectations with few/no resources; unpaid overtime is expected and seems to be the norm; non-supervisory employees are not given bonuses or advanced in current positions,
