Awesome job. Its a challenge and very rewarding!

Cons

Once you graduate from the academy only then will you have your duty location. A bummer if your sent to a location that can not provide for your family's medical needs. This happened to me and forced me to resign.

Rotating shifts, high cost of living in Bay Area. Commute times are horrible.
