Pros

Management basically leaves me alone because they don’t have a clue about what I do everyday. Pay and benefits are good. Having maximum leave is a big plus.

Cons

Management promotes those who kiss up. Selection process is FUBAR- HR policies are garbage- orders and technical manuals have incorrect information that never get fixed- the more incompetent you are the more likely you are to be moved up so you won’t kill anyone. Controllers are obnoxious. NATCA acts like a mob organization and the agency allows it. The pay system is completely screwed up. You lose money if you decide to move out of shift work to a supervisor position, Problems never get solved. Lots of infighting. HQ is completely incompetent by their own admission. They reward self promoters who BS their way into positions they are not qualified for.
