Good Experience High preformers are rewarded Challenging work Pay cap is higher than GS scale Good agency funding Bright colleagues

Cons

Any goverment agency has a bureaucracy Weak support staff Core compensation system not advantageous to junior attorneys Human Resources Weak support staff and required ministerial tasks take up too much time and are distracting from the practice of law

Pros

Lots of opportunity to work in numerous IT disciplines.

Cons

Extremely hard to advance since the turnover rate is very low. There are currently too many department heads and redundancy of work performed.
