Pros

Working environment, work schedule, and job security.

Cons

Difficult to move up the career ladder due to the "get in line and wait for your turn" mind set. Lack of training. Federal government does not have a mandatory retirement age, if you are young be prepare to carry more "weight".

Pros

Performed as a contract and full time support consultant covering a twenty one year span. Translation, a job that provided longevity and security. Served as a asset manager and documentation manager for aeronautical products.

Cons

I received in-house training on automated inventory systems to manage IT assets located throughout the US. Too widely dispersed, accountability in some cases were very challenging
