Pros

The benefits and job security of working for the Government are undeniable. It's a very rewarding profession. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to have this as my career.

Cons

There is a lot of stress, not a lot of mobility, upper levels of management can be heavy handed. Congress controls the budget so you work with less resources than necessary.
