      progressive, flexible; family friendly employer

      Cons

      Pay is often not competitive with private sector. Some employees and managers struggle with change, even if it is beneficial to the organization. Not many career pathways and internal opportunities for administrative specialties or management.

      Pros

      Very interesting work that is mission oriented. Great job if you love aviation with typical outstanding benefits that comes along with a federal job. Unique work that one will not find anywhere else.

      Cons

      Upper management is horrible. Unless you're one of their favorites. Some people get away with just about everything while those that work hard have to pick up their slack. Literally some people sleep on the job and nothing is said to them. This place is unfortunately what most people think of federal workers.

      Pros

      Agency is reasonably well managed and does a good job of seeking out qualified personnel. Compensation and benefits are excellent.

      Cons

      Training is less than satisfactory for non-technical positions. There is virtually no training program established for non-technical positions-you are on your own.
