Pros

Great Benefits, Great Pay, Vast Knowledge, Multiple Training opportunities,

Cons

Employees are selected for promotions based on "who you know" not "what you know." Training is great, although it never pinpoints your facility's exact set up, so there is a lot of fudging along the way. The knowledge is great, but they do not offer refresher courses and sometimes it will be years before you work on another piece of equipment or perform a duty infrequently, it would be nice to offer a 1-2 day refresher.

Pros

Can virtually live anywhere. Career progression is easy. Good benefits. Backed by the union.

Cons

It's government agency so its run slowly. Takes forever to get anything done. Printer broke, says it takes 6 months to fix. Random drugs and alcohol screenings.
