Pros

6 figure income at decently staffed facilities for 40 hours/wk with only 1/2-3/4 of that time on position working. You take absolutely zero work home. You can basically wear whatever you want. If you're a decent controller the work isn't too hard. Pension, TSP, great health benefits, holiday pay, night pay, training pay, Sunday pay, annual leave, sick leave, paid travel.

Cons

Your trainers have the ability to hold your career back and even end it. The whole training program needs to be re-worked. Shift work. Nights, weekends, and holidays. Hard to re-locate from your first facility.
