Pros

the pay and benefits FERS retirement

Cons

Rotating shifts are brutal, stressful, low staffing, no standards, heavy workload at busy facilities. Training is the absolute worst, your career can be in the hands of employees who doesn't care or excel at their jobs. Bad employees are here to stay and often get promoted over the good, some managers are even worse. Unrealistic health standards, was let go after 15yrs for losing my medical clearance due to a chronic illness.

Pros

Worklife balance, benefits, flexible schedule, advancement opportunities, no time in grade for advancement,

Cons

This one of the worst agencies I’ve worked for or rather the department. It is a call center position when I was initially told it would not be. Management is not good. Very unorganized. No proper training you are really left to figure things out on your own. Tons of work and they have a high turnover. Small raise increases.
