      Working for ExxonMobil may be a good experience but is one of those you never want to have again.

      Pros

      Good opportunities for advancement if you follow the rules and procedures and log in a lot of face time. Many languages on offer to learn for free. International team exposure. Interesting job and friendly co-workers.

      Cons

      Management respect for employees is non-existent. Management steals ideas and does not pass on credit. Face time gets promotions, not actual hard work or performance. No 360 feedback and little feedback in general. Poor salary in regards to responsibilities.

      Pros

      Fast paced culture, friendly on the outside. A very large and stable organization with a global presence.

      Cons

      Training is dependent on where you are, some in Fairfax still believe that they are working for Mobil and will dispell any direction from the Houston counterpart. Training recieved was one of two forms, a verbal dissertation lasting 20 minutes or more, without the ability to take notes, covering multiple key strokes one could never possibly remember OR a quick "Here is the report I prepare" now check this box saying you were trained. Overall, a very discombobulated group with some stars, some helfpu and some NOT. From the inside, it'd be hard to tell that this organization is making any money with their relentless pursuit of headcount reduction.

      Good company to work for, good salary, training provided, talented people, diversity, team-based, work flexibility, career development, mentor program, performance base

      Cons

      I don't think of something that I do not like so far in this, but may be they are a little bit consevative.
