Pros

1. Generally, no work on weekends or outside work hours. Work life balance: 5 out 5. 2. Collegues: opportunity to work with group of talented people. (At least in my domain) 3. Good management people in Houston: They don't afraid of taking and answering any difficult question. 4. Free cab facilities for late shift 5. Safety culture 6. Ergonomic and wonderful work place

Cons

1. Horrible management in Bangalore: Don't have the guts to face difficult questions. 2. Supervisor: Most powerful person, and yet completely useless. No sympathy for the employees. 3. There were various cool facilities, but all the facilities have been withdrawn due to pre and post Covid financial crisis. 4. Poor quality of work: No value of your technical knowledge. Boring maintenance and support work. Your technical skills will become dull. When you realise it and look for a new opportunity, you will be nowhere. 5. Too many policies: Hinder your personal space too. 6. Side effects of the safety culture: make some people completely paranoid. 7. No canteen facility.

Pros

Very competitive salary. Working in EMRE and then Global Projects has not been too challenging. Work life balance has been good.

Cons

Never join Cost, Schedule, Controls discipline within Global Projects. You will never get out. Way too many middle managers. Very old fashion and hierarchal. 5 years ago the company was producing cost estimates with software nearly 30 years old. Utilized excel for everything. Self feeding system of ineffective initiatives. Ranking system dictates employees to develop new tools and process that then slow down a very bureaucratic system further. Did I mention WAY TOO many middle managers?

Old school and out of touch

Pros

Decent benefits, WFH flexibility depending on your boss, horizontal movement is regular and you can experience a lot of different roles throughout your career.

Cons

Lack of transparency, management is not upfront/honest/straightforward. WFH flexibility is 100% dependent on your personal boss, who is typically not held accountable to any company standard. Staying technical is not only not rewarded, but practically punished by putting ceilings on your career progression and raises. Company has recently not been treating long standing employees well.
