Pros

Good benefits, typically reasonable hours

Cons

Rude and condescending management, push to send all jobs overseas but overseas workers are under qualified so the work comes back to the US but fewer workers since jobs moved

Pros

Opportunity to work in the Oil & Gas field with large data sets.

Cons

Forced ranking, tone deaf management, and requiring in person work has resulted in a less innovation and lose of key personnel at ExxonMobil IT. Key mid-career and late-career professionals are leaving this company at an alarming rate in the IT field. A focus on hiring abroad, even when the economics do not make sense and causes resource constraints in the US.
