Pros

Decent pay. Good benefits. Mostly good coworkers. Pension. On a 12-hour shift, you get paid 8 hours of straight time and 4 hours of overtime, so your pay averages out to be more. If you work in unscheduled overtime, it's paid at a rate of 1.71 (instead of 1.5), and double time days are paid at a rate of 2.28 (instead of 2.0). You get paid for holidays regardless of if you work or not, but if you do work a holiday, you get paid all premium pay.

Cons

Union facility, A lot of bad attitudes, always feel like your job is being threatened, 4/4 shift schedule (new schedule was voted on, supposed to start in 2026. 5/4/4/5 shift schedule.)
