Pros

I learned a lot with this company in the brief time I was employed there, including but not limited to: conducting interviews; sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates; client establishment and satisfaction; document verification; and much more. Overall, company placements through Express is a positive and fulfilling experience for both Employment Specialists and Associates who are placed on assignments through client companies.

Cons

In my specific experience with Express Employment Professionals, the corporate involvement is encouraging of its employees’ growth. Each Express office is independently owned and franchised; the location I worked with is currently owned by Kelly Gillespie in DeKalb, IL. In summary, Kelly completed inconsistent methods across various, crucial areas of her business. I believe her training methods, payroll processing, commission distribution/processing, communication skills, and receptiveness to feedback to be deeply flawed and should be heavily considered by any ethical candidate who chooses to work there in the future.

Pros

At first, placed me very quickly. Company I was placed at unfortunately lost contracts after business slowed, but was reassigned very fast.

Cons

After about 4 months I have been with this agency I have had problems with co workers that once complaints were made they were swept under the rug or ignored completely. Last week I became ill while at work, was sent home on Wednesday, Friday I seen a doctor who then cleared me to return only to learn that same person who sent me home had terminated me. Express refused to advocate on my behalf. Or assist me locating other work. Very horrible and unprofessional treatment!
