Pros

First, I think it is important to be aware that each Express Office is owned and operated independently. With that being said, each office has a different owner, and a different culture to it. So at times it can be difficult to get an idea for what the work culture is like . The Staffing Consultant is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into the staffing industry. Express has endless training opportunities, and there is always more to learn. If you are familiar with the staffing industry, and comfortable with sales then working with Express could be a great fit for you.

Cons

-Growth Potential: there is not much room for growth. You will be stuck in the same position, and the only way to grow is to get more sales, which is a lot more difficult than you think it may be. Depending on the area that you live in, some employers may have a bad outlook on Express. -Hours: you will be paid salary, with lots of overtime that you will not be compensated for. It is definitely a grind. Expect to come in early, state late, work through lunch, and work from home -Jobs: the jobs that you will be recruiting for are solely dependent on the territory that your office is in. Therefore this could be seen as a negative or positive because if you are in a heavily industrial area, all of the job that you will be doing will be industrial -Job Orders: you will be expected to get Job Orders no matter what your position is in the office. Express will often paint the picture that is easy to get a job order, but it can prove to be extremely difficult depending on your territory, and the reputation that Express has in the office -Metrics: single handedly the worst part of the job. You are held to ridicously high standards when it comes to metrics, and when you meet them you are simply told that you could do more. These metrics can easily change week to week, so it is often difficult to determine which goals you should actually try to reach. Some of the metrics are completely out of your control, and this can be extremely frustrating when you are continually told that it is your fault. -Time Off: Do not expect to have any time off. It will be nearly impossible to take any personal time off, and if you are granted time off, expect to be recieve multiple phone calls, and emails about what going on. In addition, you will still be required to meet all of your metrics, even if you missed some time. -Pay + Commission: pay is comparable to the industry average. but you will initially be told that you will make all of your money through commission. However, be sure you understand the commission structure that your office has. It can change at any time, and is up to the owners discretion. I worked there for nearly a year, and never saw a commission check.

Pros

There really arent any. These people will make you feel like to need to take a shower after just talking to them. They lie to these offices from day 1 and then show their true colors when the person is so financially invested that they have no choice but to conform.

Cons

The franchise owners seem to genuinely want to do good things. The corporate group sells them on this idea that they are going to do some good in the world when in reality its all about corporate milking every last cent out of the offices and making it harder for them to succeed in the process. The assistance center reps are just call center reps. Their supposed expertise is nonsense. Not a single one of them has ever tried to do the job let alone with money on the line but they have no hesitation in pretending they are all knowing and instructing the offices to spend their money. Its absurd. The philosophy here is day labor unskilled workers who are viewed and treated as inventory only not people. Dont believe all the nonsense you hear otherwise. Its not the offices fault people are treated this way, its the way the corporate group sets up the contracts with the franchises that backs them into a corner where they are forced to do things this way or lose their life savings investment in the business.

Pros

There isn't one thing that I can say that is good about his location

Cons

Very bad, horrible, horrendous, terrible, careless, miserable, negligent. If I can list every negative work I would. They could care less that I wasn't going to get paid, they would call me an hour before the time sheet needed to be saying it wasn't in and I wasn't going to get paid. I felt used, abused and thrown out like a piece of crap after the employer I was placed with didn't need me.
