Pros

free coke in fridges, and a free team lunch every week - so you can complain with your friends while 'in the office'

Cons

management all promoted internally - anyone who has a choice will leave and the left-overs - tall, thin, hard blonde women and committed brown-noses become managers thrusting 1980's carrot and stick management style means alcohol and cheap weekends away plus lots of performance reviews leading to dismissal if you go for an interview, ensure you ask what the staff turnover is. The truthful answer is a horrific 40%, they all know that but will lie to you. bear in mind that some people have 10 years service, so you can do the numbers, most new starters last less than a year unethical - they charge based on what they can get away with so some customers pay 10 times more for the same product ps - beware the odd 4-star review on this site, obviously faked by management

Pros

Free fruit free fruit free fruit

Cons

The push for immediate cost savings via mass UK redundancies and offshoring to Hyderabad has created a severe operational crisis, fueled by short-sighted incentives. The technical capability gap in Hyderabad is alarming; senior staff there constantly rely on the departing UK developers, indicating the project is failing outright. Instead of addressing this escalating technical debt, there appears to be an active attempt to cover up the instability. While leadership may secure quick bonuses, the reality is that this move is setting the stage for a catastrophic and costly long-term fix, which will almost certainly require reversing the decision and spending vast sums on contractors to salvage the core service. Of course by that time the c-suites will have been paid their bonuses and moved on to new companies.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sorry to hear your experience hasn’t met expectations and I appreciate your honesty. I understand that change can be challenging, and I will always take concerns raised seriously. Any recent business changes reflect a long-term strategy to strengthen capabilities and accelerate delivery for our customers. Hyderabad plays a critical role in this strategy, and we have confidence in the talent and expertise of our teams there. We’re investing in onboarding, training and collaboration to ensure high standards across all locations. This approach is consistent with industry best practice and enables us to scale effectively while continuing to invest in the UK team for domains that require proximity to market conditions. We believe this updated structure creates a sustainable model for growth and innovation. However, if you’d like to share more or discuss your concerns further, please reach out through our confidential feedback channels or directly to myself. Thank you again for your honesty - I remain committed to making Experian a great place to work for all colleagues. Richard Scott – Chief People Officer – UK&I

Pros

Decent pay and ability to work mainly from home.

Cons

Senior Management that treat you purely as a number despite pretending to be a 'Great Place to Work'. When the excessive profits just start to dip slightly they have no hesitation in arbitrarily getting rid of long-serving employees.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. It is disheartening to read you’ve rated 2 stars. As an Experian employee myself your comments regarding senior management and 'pretending' to be a great place to work do come as a surprise. Our Great Place to Work credentials, i.e. accredited in 24 countries, is based exclusively on anonymous employee feedback. In our 2023 survey I'm pleased to say 87% of colleagues said Experian is a great place to work. We’re 100% focused on making Experian an exceptional place to work, which I feel is reflected fairly in our current Glassdoor ratings from 6k+ reviews. We always welcome feedback in order to address any concerns a colleague might have, and from current and former employees alike. It’s a shame that you are now a former employee, UK&I leaders, HR and I would have done everything possible to listen and improve your Experian journey had we been aware. If you’re open to sharing more context I’d really welcome to opportunity to better understand your experiences, doug.kelsall@experian.com
