Pros

Free healthcare, located right on Cathedral Square. That's about it.

Everything about working here is a con. I'm just repeating what everyone else has already said (notice all the reviewers say the same thing). That's because it's all true and everyone experiences it. Management is horrible from the top down. Micromanaging is RAMPANT in this company. My direct boss has, on multiple occasions, reported me to HR for making spelling/punctuation mistakes and claiming that I didn't pay attention enough...well it felt more like I was in the principles office than an HR office. If you feel like an adult but want to be treated like a child you'll definitely want to work here. Everything you do is questioned. Your opinion matters very little. I Worked there for over 4 years and applied to different positions within the company multiple times and never got promoted. The pay is absurd (starting under $30,000) and as others have mentioned management will tell you that their benefits are absolutely amazing. Basically you pay nothing for healthcare each month. But the salary, oh, the salary...How you can pay anyone below $30,000 in 2015 is just mind boggling. I started right out of college and basically stayed for the convenience of the commute and work/life balance. I was hourly so 4:30 hit and i'm outta there!!! Some of these clients are bringing in over $1 million a year but you get paid peanuts...where's all the money going???The culture is very strange here. First of all EDI is a for-profit company that manages non-profits which sounds extremely shady to me. Cliquey is the key word. Groups of people will talk to each other and ignore everyone else. There are days where literally nobody talks for 99% of the day so it sounds like a library (i have gotten in trouble for talking too much)...sounding like high school yet? The raises are laughable. I think on average i made about $20-50 more a month TOPS when raises were given out. Back to the culture though...basically if the partners like you, you are golden. You can literally do no wrong in their eyes. But if you are like 95% of the employees at EDI then you are just another random worker clocking in and clocking out every day hoping you don't do something wrong to earn a trip to the principal...ahem...HR office. The turnover is insanely high here. Look up open positions at this company, right now...10-15 openings? As I said I worked here for over 4 years and there were MANY employees that literally lasted a few months and quit. If someone lasts a year i'm surprised. Honestly, do yourself a favor and don't work here. It's not worth the days and nights of frustration and stress. Frustration because your job and bosses are miserable...stress because you constantly think about how little money you make. If you are desperate for a job, like I was (got a job offer before I graduated - woohoo!) then work here for 6 months and get out while you still have a soul but if it's not absolutely necessary just stay far, far away.
