Good Learning Experience

Pros

- A lot of the team are young professionals who are fun to work with and for the most part*, people are willing to help newbies. - They hire a lot of Recruiters fresh out of college (double-edged sword, I will address later) - Nice Account Managers to work with (for the most part) - Direct Management is generally nice and supportive - Can be pretty flexible when it comes to time off - Work from home since COVID. Compensation for phone and internet.

Cons

- Offices can be pretty cliquey and everyone knows each other's business. - *MOST of the team is willing to help each other out, but there others who think they are too good and are difficult to work with. They say they are willing to help, but when you call or send a message, you never hear back. Only willing to give you the time of day when it benefits them. - I like working with a vast majority of Account Managers, however, I have had instances where they call past work hours (like 8 or 9pm). This is staffing, it is not life or death. It can wait till the morning. - I definitely think that this company takes advantage of individuals who are newer to the workforce. When we started working from home, they encouraged us not to work overtime (so they don't have to pay us overtime), saying we should be able to get everything done in 8 hours. The most successful Recruiters and Account Managers in the company are pretty much working 24/7. I've come to realize it is pretty much an unspoken expectation for you to work overtime for nothing in return but the chance for success. - Some success as a Recruiter or Account Manager can be attributed to talent and hard work (working around the clock). However, other times, it can be pure luck or based on the Accounts/Jobs that you are assigned to work on. - Another thing to keep in mind is, your success is oftentimes based on things you have little control over - for example, maybe your candidate gets a job offer with your client and does not accept. You just wasted a bunch of time and effort with nothing to show for it. (I've had this happen a handful of times) - Overall, if you want work to be in the back of your mind all the time- on your time off and even on Holiday breaks, then this is the job for you! I've seen previous reviews saying Apex isn't a job, it's a lifestyle, and I couldn't agree more.

Easy to get, lots of young people

Cons

High turnover, forced you to work through lunch and work late, no one wants to help you if you are new

none I can think of.

Cons

Received 5 paid holidays after 1 year. Apex did not have any accrued vacation time for the contractors while other agencies do offer it to their contractors.
