Pros

- the possibility to drive expensive cars if you're passionate about - most of the colleagues are friendly - the job is easy if you enjoy driving

Cons

- minimum wage even in London - poor management - overtime for the same rate - pushing yourself to work without a break although you work for more than 8 hours I would say this is the worst company I ever worked for. Although I worked for Europcar for almost two years, it was due to their flexibility to allow me to switch from full-time to part-time hours during my university years and because I got along very well with the colleagues. I was tested positive for Coronavirus on 27th of March and had to isolate for two weeks. I didn't feel better at the end of the isolation and asked my manager if I can be furloughed. In a nutshell, I have been told they can not furlough me because there is work available and once I get Coronavirus I cannot get it a second time so I am safe to work, although I am asthmatic. I left the company for this reason. I know they are not required to furlough me but I didn't feel any appreciation and support and I didn't want to put myself at risk again especially because I was not fully recovered after more than one month, but I have been told the symptoms might last up to 8 weeks. During my time at Europcar, we had to work long hours without a break, push ourselves every day to finish most of the delivery and collection for the day but we ended up arriving home after 8 or 9 pm with shifts starting from 8 am every day. Many times fighting with the fleet controllers or managers because of long hours and no social life, forced to accept the overtime hours every day. Customers were angry with us because of late deliveries/collections although we had nothing to do with that; fleet controllers use to lie to them about the time expected to have the cars delivered/collected. And after all this, when I ended up needing Europcar's support during the pandemic, they turned their backs on me. Shame on you!
