Pros

Exposure to real world business operations (at the branch management level). Motivated individuals who actually care about the operations doing well and moving ahead in the world. The exposure to customer service situations will prepare you for any interaction with the public at any time in your career.

Cons

Hours, morale, low pay, challenging working conditions, CYA management from level III managers.

Pros

Most other employers know that a majority of people that work at Enterpries work insane amounts of hours and get paid basically nothing for their time and effort. Employers know that if one works for Enterprise for any extended period of time you are certainly a hard worker and have extremely thick skin.

Cons

Zero work life balance, Zero money, constantly suffering from sleep deprevation, constantly being insulted all day long by customers, constantly getting looks of amazement from customers when you tell them that you have a college education, constantly being abused by body shop employees, constantly having to lie to customers as to why you accepted their reservation but have no car for them, constantly seeing co-workers quit, constantly working long long days and never having time to actually study the materials necessary to advance, constantly being looked down upon if you choose to go home after twelve hours of work as opposed to sitting in a restauraunt and drinking beer while kissing up to managers. I could go on all day.

Pros

If you are just getting out of college and need a job, Enterprise is a job where you don't have to do any heavy lifting and you get to wear shirt and tie. They are on most major job sites and have multiple location in almost every city. They teach you how businesses work and that's not always a good thing. You will have the opportunity to drive a lot of cars, so when you go shopping for cars, you'll know which ones are the good brands to buy. They give the management trainees a lot of decision making abilities and they even manage the car preps and drivers.

Cons

You work. I worked 65+ hours every week. If you are married and/or have kids, this is not the job for you. You also have to lie to customers everyday and sometimes cheat people. Employee have to suck up to the worst people our society has to offer. Don't buy expensive shirts and ties because you will ruin them from all the cars you will have to wash every day. Even if there is a car prep at your branch, they will need help washing cars. The customers you will have treat the cars as if they are disposables. You'll be luck if a smoked out car is the worst you get and trust me it can and will get a lot worst. Lets just say that crack pipes and used condoms were common in cars and they were from white collar corporate customers.
