Pros

The overall structure relatively efficient Assistant manager was nice Opportunities for quick promotion based on performance

Cons

Boss was a jerk Hours are long, not much time off. you only get one week per year worked. I didn't feel like the training wasn't very thorough for the selling portion.

Pros

You honestly learn how to run a business. The manager is responsible for everything. From cutting costs and increasing Operating profit, to car allocation, this place is an a-z blueprint on learning how to run your own business. You go marketing which is the best. You build relationships with local businesses and work out deals with them, etc. You work with other college educated people (which is just awesome). Nice dress code, makes you feel like a professional.

Cons

You have a college degree and you work and a rent a car company. $31,500 is pathetic, especially given how much money you will make the company. Oh yeah, YOU ARE A RENT A CAR COMPANY SO HAVE CARS AVAILABLE TO RENT! YOU SHOULDN'T TURN PEOPLE AWAY or LIE TO THEM BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE THE CARS. Here is a novel idea, DONT MAKE THE RESERVATION IF YOU DONT HAVE THE CAR! It makes the "front-line" employees look like s*&t, customers mad, and hurts business. Also, the sales part is the shittiest. Same lines over and over for a product that you don't really need or would want. Sleazy sellers are rewarded.

Pros

Great opportunity for the new college grad. Chance to learn all areas of business world including: accounting, sales, marketing, human resources and more.

Cons

The hours can be long and grueling, but when you're trying to build a career for yourself it can pay off in long run. Real Advice, get at much experience as possible then look for best offer possible elsewhere. Great first job.
