This was a great event because it brought together teachers from other centers. I now have friends from all around Shanghai and we meet up quite frequently! It is wonderful that a company allows its teachers many opportunities to connect and network on our days off! I feel more apart of the EF community now. To me personally, this event helped me feel more at home because I have only been in Shanghai for three months now. Having these events regularly increases friendships and I really appreciate it!

Cons

The only con I have for this is the directions after the metro. I am horrible at directions so it was a slight challenge for me! Other than that, the event went smoothly! Also, the leader for the event was kind and shared her location with me so I was able to find the place.

We always love hearing how teachers enjoy the events we plan, to make sure we're catering to everyone's interests, and also keep them different and fun. We're so happy to hear you enjoyed the opportunity of meeting teachers from all over the city and connecting with people you wouldn't otherwise meet. That's one of the aims of our teacher events, to make teachers feel more a part of the EF community and feel more at home in their new cities away from home. We will be sure to make the directions clear going forward, because sometimes it can be a bit confusing if it's an unfamilair area, thank you for highlighting that. Everything else I have been given horrible schedules that keep me isolated from my coworkers causing me not to interact with anyone. I have been told countless times how bad I am at my job even though I'm following their horrible curriculum. The training is a joke, and they want you to be chained to EF in everything you do. If you're at a really unorganized school like I was, they might accidentally terminate you and forget about it so you won't get paid that month, (This is true because it happened to me)
