Pros
Hired as a Key Holder and promoted to part-time Assistant Manager within 6 months. After another year, was transferred to a second location and promoted to full-time Assistant Manager. Pretty much stuck at that position though was told opportunities may be available in the future. Stayed with company for 4 years. 90% of customers were cool, visuals were fun and creative per individual boutique, shipment was constant but not overwhelming (most of the time), daily responsibilities could easily be delegated, and always had a dependable staff.
Cons
Company has changed a lot from when I started. Trying to be a lot more "trendy" than before it was about a unique product and styling. Seems to be trying to be more appealing to a younger audience (high school/college vs 18-35 like mission statement) Communication between DM/RM is "open", but was sometimes a struggle to even get an email reply let alone a phone conversation. Company was/is growing quickly, and upper management positions and titles changed quickly. At 4 years of service there were very few people that I knew from my onboarding that were still there when I finally left.
