Pros

Developing people, connection with BTL’s in your district, ownership of your boutique

Cons

Development is lacking and really how things are run really depends on your district Team Leader. Favoritism is a huge part of this and if your DTL doesn’t like you, you don’t get visits or development. Those who the DTL favors get promotions and extra help. Keep a staff is a struggle because pay is terrible starting stylist at 8.00 an hour is great but Sales Lead start at 9.00 and they’ll never get above 11 dollars. Which only happens if they have 5+ years of retail experience. But they can go to another retailer and make 11 dollars as a sales associate. They are constantly changing things and literally there is no way to communicate with home office (outside of tech issues) which is completely ineffective because getting things done can take over a week or at all. But also don’t file HR complaints because nothing will happen or they’ll tell your upper management and then they make your life a living hell. Plus as a BTL you make crap pay. You can go to another retailer and make the same or more as an assistant than as a BTL with this company. Definitely don’t recommend unless you want to never grow as a leader in the retail career field.

Pros

Flexibility, great community, growth opportunities, supportive executives

Cons

Nothing about the business. Liquidation and closure of the brand was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
