Leadership is generally two-faced and full of politics. Gossip runs wild. And don’t expect much from HR (They call themselves People Team) they’re basically just there to protect management, not to actually help employees when it counts.
The new VIP Director? Total nightmare. She created such a toxic environment. Sharp tongue, zero emotional intelligence, and just completely demoralized the team. I've honestly never seen so many people so afraid to speak up. It got to the point where the whole department felt like it was operating under fear. People were stuck choosing between staying and enduring it just to keep their job, or risking everything to leave. And not everyone can just walk away. But I swear, 9 out of 10 people were thinking about it at some point. I’m one of the few who managed to speak up and get out. I loved my job, but I knew I couldn’t change the leadership, and I knew they weren’t going to change themselves. So I quit, for my sanity.
It's disappointing to see upper management turn a blind eye. I know so many people complained, yet nothing changed.
