We strive to ‘Think Safety First’ at all times and we recognise and deal effectively with risk through the capability of our people, clear policies and practices and an effective SHE management system. This is enabling us to become an ever safer place to work and in fact we are among the safest companies in our sector. We are fully committed to achieving zero harm and this year launched our Zero Harm Behaviours to help us focus action as we continue our drive to achieving a first-class safety culture. We were therefore concerned to read about your views on safety culture during your time with us, and if you witnessed or experienced anything you’d like to share, I would encourage you to get in touch with me in the first instance at innis.scott@mail.weir and I can take your concerns anonymously to the relevant business leaders for further investigation.
In response to your comments on salary, we do regularly undertake market assessments for our roles to ensure our reward and benefits packages remain competitive and we also remain highly committed to creating a culture of inclusion where everyone can do the best work of their lives. We do this, for example, by focusing on what people need in order to achieve fair outcomes for all and that includes access to training and development, career pathways and regular, open feedback.
