Pros

The parent company appears to have growth potential and vision for the future.

Cons

Health and safety did not exist! First day told to stand up wind of manway, due to H2S and personal monitor was broken and being repaired. Had not rescue plan for confined space entry for removal of underground storage tank. Was working alone and had to enter via ladder into unshored excavation- all sand. One of hotesst summers, working alone, samplin. Ground water wells, 4 purge system ( meaning lifting 60 lbs per well; 50 wells; while carrying coolers and containers through woods) NO heat stress policy or safety; realized I stopped sweating and had stomach cramps. Hide in shade for 2 hours. Asked about heat and cold stress manager did not even know what I meant! Operating 4x4 ATV no training, loading into small trailer that was no licensed or inspected road worthy. Out of town work, suppose to be for the day, again heat stress... Also fumes from old gas station in air, no respirators or safety plan, open excavation

Pros

Flexible schedule (2-3 days/week working from home)

Cons

The size and matrixed structure can mean more layers of review, approvals, and standardized processes. This can slow down decisions and make it harder to move quickly or implement changes compared to smaller, more agile firms.

Pros

With over 30 years in the engineering industry, I can say without hesitation that this is the most employee-attentive firm I have ever had the privilege of working for. What sets this organization apart is its commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry — not just technologically, but in how it values and invests in its people. The collective expertise of thousands of dedicated professionals here doesn't just benefit the company; it makes a meaningful impact on the world, and that sense of purpose has genuinely reignited my passion for engineering. The opportunities for growth are both vast and real. Across the firm's many initiatives, there is something for everyone who comes to work curious, motivated, and eager to contribute. This is not a place where ambition goes unnoticed. After more than three decades in this field, I have found a place I am proud to be part of — and one I hope to remain a part of for many years to come. If you are considering joining this team, I wholeheartedly encourage you to take that step.

Cons

If I have to mention a con, it would be monetary compensation, but who doesn't want more money. I took a paycut to join this firm and the amount of time I am investing, could be worth more than my current salary warrants.
