Pros

Exposure to a global brand. Dealership teams are super hard working and dedicated. Amazing ppl to work with.

Cons

'the Volvo way' is nothing more than lip service. They don't care about you and regularly leverage payroll as a revenue saving device - meaning when the industry takes a downturn, instead of getting creative, plugging leaky buckets and improving the systems that are revenue generating, they panic and look for where they can cut costs fast - by cutting their people. In my experience, it didn't matter that I sacrificed family and personal time because I believed my managers who told me I was on a career journey (a senior VP told me to my face 'now you've reached 12months, you'll never leave - no one ever does'), it didn't matter that I took a 10K pay cut to take this job because I believed in their values and their mission, it didn't matter that I built a trust narrative with customers that directly resulted in improved sales opportunities, it didn't matter that my work won them international awards, it didn't matter how good (or how bad for that matter) I was at my job - when it came down to it, all that mattered was how much my salary was costing them.

Pros

Really inclusive environment and most of campus is already with ABW - activity based workplace (flexible seating).

Cons

Sometimes due to the very inclusive environment, decisions can take a little longer.

Pros

Great team of colleagues. Employee who are focused on ensuring their best. Excellent collaboration between teams. Colleagues who will look past the negative culture and continue to do their best for the company.

Cons

Culture & HR team who are clueless about global teams and work strategies. Focus on how many days and hours are spent in the office, rather than quality of work delivered. "You are being tracked by HR" has become the new way of life with the new culture. Total lack of communication after announcing job cuts are coming, due to awful truck sales and loss of market share in USA. Heavily bloated VP structure.
