Pros
Work pace is slow (for those who like that). Business goes well - it is a big company with history, many brands in its portfolio and good market reach.
Cons
Even though salary was in the normal range, the additional benefits where less than other large-scale Swedish companies I have worked for. Management was terrible. No transparency - even as senior manager you do not get insight into what's going on or basis for decisions - you should just do and not ask. And this was at the Volvo Group Connected Solutions Innovation Lab which is supposed to be somewhat modern and forward thinking. What I saw in the rest of the organization was even worse. Management did not provide any feedback during the year. I got rather good annual reviews and grading, but there were surprises that had not been brought up anytime during the year. There were other senior managers who had a much worse fate which in turn led a few into depression due to work related issues like this. Transparency in general is close to zero in the organization. I worked there some years and have been with other employers since then. Tried to apply for some positions - just in case - and there is not even a response. I have some colleagues who also applied to several jobs and same for them (one also applied to the Innovation Lab and never got a reply. This person was a well known high level senior in the Gothenburg region). From what I have seen the expression "ghosting" and "Volvo Group" seem to be synonyms. It is a conservative, slow and old style company with poor middle management (at least up to and including VP level).
