Pros

Village Green's sales department is second to none. The bevy of training classes is refreshing for an industry that lacks in real teaching. Furthermore, the trainers care deeply about the impact of the classes on a site-level. The company prides itself on promoting from within and it does ... a lot. The sales department is also excellent at evaluating talent, which makes promoting the right* people a breeze. The leaders of the sales department pay a great deal of attention to detail and are always coming up with new ways to be leaders in the industry. Furthermore, I disagree with the reviews suggesting VG overworks its employees. It's hardly a non-stop job, but if responding to emails away from work is considered "being overworked" you probably haven't been out of college very long. Lastly, the compensation is competitive to say the least. Especially the commission structure, which rewards those who capture high rents and rentals per month.

Cons

As much as I love the sales department; the operations department has some room for growth. During my tenure I have encountered multiple incompetent property managers, but I do believe this is an industry-wide issue and not so much a VG issue. Even still, the lack of solid* property managers can be frustrating at times.

Pros

Unfortunately, I cannot provide any pros based on my experience.

Cons

Village Green is easily the worst company I have ever worked for. The organization operates in complete chaos with deeply unethical leadership, zero accountability, and an absolutely toxic culture from the top down. Employees are treated as disposable, constantly misled, overworked, and blamed for failures created by incompetent management. Fear, favoritism, retaliation, and dishonesty were normalized daily. The company showed a shocking disregard for professionalism, employee wellbeing, operational standards, and resident trust. Turnover was extreme for a reason — competent employees do not stay. Leadership consistently protected themselves instead of fixing serious issues, and the environment became mentally draining and impossible to thrive in. I would strongly discourage anyone from working here or trusting this company with their career. In my experience, this organization should not be managing people, properties, or teams at the scale it does.
