Pros
Hard to think of many; free hotel if your travelling a fair distance for the training. If your looking to get any job for 1 month this is the ideal role
Cons
Where to start; 75% of what you are told consist of lies. For example, this is a door to door SALES job, you are "promised" warm leads (appointments) however they get sent to the manager of each branch who can decide to keep them for himself (very few women work for this organisation due to the "banter") 1) Commission and Bonus are discretionary - PLEASE read the contract before you sign, I worked there 2 months and was told in the second month to expect around £1,500-£1,600 (for 4 sales) however I received minimum wage (not covering all the evening and weekend hours I put in) and I didn't receive a penny of expenses back. I also sold 8 systems in the following month of January and was told to expect a payment of £2,000-£2,500 after tax end of Feb but when I didn't receive anything at the end of Jan 18' I left. 2) You will be told to lie to the customers but never to "cheat" them i.e. we send the police immediately (no Verisure do not, they can make a report but that doesn't guarantee a response) 3) Hire and Fire galore - You will see this from a very early stage to encourage fear and compliance, very high turnover in staff. 4) Promised promotions - Yes, you can be a manager within 6 months... I'll leave you to decide whether you fancy fast tracking. 5) Material - Given a Demo Kit and some training and then left to it, go and knock on doors. Bring your own diary, pen, phone with a internet connection and data for maps and logging your daily connections (They won't give you a phone) 6) Micro-management - Absolutely 100% everyday, expect to receive a call or 10 from your line manager enquiring where you are, what your doing and who you've been speaking to. It's so they know your working and following there method of 4 hours business knocking and 4 hours early evening residential knocking (MINIMUM). 7) Fake Security Study - You may never know if the window is triple glazed or double but that's okay. You're a security consultant. Punch the window and tell the customer they need a shock sensor and you will give it them at a reduced price. Before you work for them see other negative reviews as they are 100% accurate, also check youtube Verisure video, the alarm system is impressive but good look selling it at the price (upfront and monthly) you will be given in training.
