Pros
I enjoyed my immediate team, my manager was great. I was able to travel.
Cons
I worked on a national team and enjoyed my immediate team, but not the broader team. There were many people in the org that didn't hold themselves accountable to their mistakes, which created a bad culture. From my experience on staff for nearly 5 years, there is a lot of job insecurity and employment doesn't seem to be based on merit. It is really difficult to fire someone who is ineffective and hurting the team. On the otherhand, there have lots of layoffs and team shuffling. You are expected to work long hours, a TFA standard work week is 45 hours instead of 40, and often times I'd work closer to 60 to complete my work. The org has made some promises around layoffs and team structures and those were not followed. They kept their promise for a year and then restructured again. Many decisions were made top-down with little to no input from those largely affected, so it left people feeling like their opinion didn't matter.
