Pros
It is a paycheck and they do direct deposit on time.
Cons
Schedules are flip flopped constantly, people with children are often left scrambling for childcare. If you are very sick, still go to work or you will be written up. Learn to make due with your paycheck very quickly. You will make just enough to keep you above the poverty line where you do not qualify for any help but you will still struggle to pay your basic bills. You generally cap out at $10 an hour and no more which for people who want to support themselves and work, will mean that you had better have a very low standard of living or be living with several people who split rent. Tenure means nothing. Turnover rate is very high. The job is very stressful for several reasons; the supervisors will constantly harp on you for any of your metrics that are not met, trying to balance the wants of the company vs the wants of the customer is difficult to do in the allotted handle time, some of the customers will be very, very abusive (the death threats and suicide threats make the name calling seem very tame). All those coupled with the fact that depending on the supervisor you have, you can be threatened with being fired daily does not create an endearing environment.
