Pros

Benefits are pretty solid, lots of scientific resources

Cons

Culture of overwork, common to expect 60 hour work weeks, serious issues with racism and ableism are very prevalent, but are semi-dependent on the specific lab

Pros

The weather at best. I can't say much more. It is a great place to go if you are a sociopath that wants to make a lot of money and meet fellow Patrick Bateman types.

Cons

A toxic working environment. Situated in a very difficult to navigate suburban environment. Very little social life for young students and professionals. Very little soul. People here are self, rather than group oriented. Corruption is rampant, especially among the professors; famously this even includes our former president.
