Pros

Flexible working hours. Hybrid working Not a lot of work to do, so you can get paid for doing very little. You can keep asking for extra work but it gets old quick. If you’re teachers pet you will progress quickly Nice head office Free gym membership

Cons

Bullying environment- reporting it does nothing, they don’t have system set up to keep file of complaints. My bully climbed the corporate ladder super quick, the bad track history doesn’t get shared with HR, so they just got promoted. HR just victim blames you. Lack of support in creating career path. If you don’t know what exactly you want to do, no one will help you. They ask you to cover some tasks while someone is sick, and then make it your permanent duty at no extra pay. They give you more junior titles to not pay benchmark for that role, but the job spec is the same. They have little to noneoverhead spending for employees. Not for entertainment, not for training. BUT! You will hear all the time that you’re cash positive. Every 2-3 years they make A LOT of people redundant. I worked there for 4.5 years and was at risk 3 times Bonuses and perks only for senior staff. Skanska believes that a person on 100k needs free health insurance more than a person on 20k Favouritism - the laziest people get promoted, but they know how to play corpo game. You can be really good at your job, but if they don’t like you - you will remain on the same level forever. Blatant racism and sexism in senior management. People often say very wrong things out loud with no repercussions. Senior roles are handed out to mates. Internal promoting to director roles doesn’t exist. Loyalty means nothing
