Pros
- Salary is good - A good level of freedom to get on with your work is granted - Colleagues are generally supportive when help is required - The values and ethics of the organisation are very good - Training opportunities are available (but there is not much guidance on who they are targeted at and how they will benefit the individual) - Benefits are good - The executives of the organisation are honest about the performance and direction of the organisation
Cons
- To progress in the organisation it is a case of "if your face fits" or "who you know" - There is little engagement between Project Director level staff and those beneath them, other than for time critical reactive project issues - project communication is poor - A lot of the work is reactive and there is very little opportunities for staff to suggest improvements or better ways of working - Some managers do not have effective leadership credentials - The work is boring and tedious, there is a graveyard like atmosphere daily
