Pros

Very less work load. Flexible working hours. As the office location is in Balewadi, ravel time is less. Nice campus and gym facilities. Interview process is very easy. If you know very basic concepts of C++ and a bit about OOPs concepts its sufficient to crack the interview. Not need to know any advance technologies. Good company Mech/Elect/Civil engineers.

Cons

This is not a company for Core Software and Computer Science guys. There is no scope to use core computer concepts or new technologies/ no technical growth. Leads/seniors are not technically good; even-though most of them have 10+ years exp in Siemens's product. Interview process for developers is very easy, so people are getting hired are not techie. Developers from Linux background, or from driver, networking , or system or middle ware technologies or other good profiles should never join this company; else it would be a situation- like being nice with stupid peoples. No job security for contractors,. Many contractors from Intelegine, Pre-scient have been fired within a week. Almost 46% of Siemens employee are contractor and this the strategy so they can reduce employee cost any time by firing contractors. Compensation is less than market standard.

Pros

Many opportunities to move horizontally or vertically in the company - preference to hire internally. Professional, respectful, yet comfortable company culture. Excellent company benefits. Incredible managers that help you do your best work while keeping a healthy balance. Management proactively invests into your skills/career development. Once you are in, they want to keep you and invest into you, you have job security.

Cons

The work can often be uninteresting or feel disconnected, since you are a small part of a greater whole. Your unit may have a very traditional background and be behind the latest technologies. The salary can stagnate and fall below market rate with longer tenure.
