Pros

- Some great people - Chance to explore all different aspects of retail - Ability to promote your own ideas and drive them through interdisciplinary teams - A lot to learn and opportunities to branch out beyond your exact job description - Decent amount of visibility to senior leadership - Decent pay

Cons

- Political chaos - only a few are favored, the rest are hung out to dry - Lack of strategy and execution - they claim to have a solid strategy that everyone should follow, but at the end of the day, the politics always get in the way, and you end up with a jumble of silo projects each meant to push a different agenda - Poor selection of management - seems like the right people are never the ones to get promoted, and they keep people around who add no value - Rapid turnover with no training or documentation - new people are thrown into the circus with no direction and the "seasoned" folks (1-2 year tenure) have to spend a lot of time training on the job. With the complex nature of the company and high learning curve, it takes a long time before someone can actually get the hang of things - Old legacy systems that prevent quick turnaround of projects. Many support teams have project lists that are miles long, and leadership does not prioritize the projects - Lack of resources to do everything that needs to be done - No 401K match, no real holiday parties or celebrations within the company (the half-hearted attempts to have parties are just sad...) - Low morale among pretty much ALL employees

Pros

Good team and good compensation

Cons

The contract is only for 30 days, so it needs to be renewed every month, and we always lose access during the process. This creates some uncertainty for us.
