Pros
- Great benefits (PTO, 401K, Medical insurance, Etc) - Great Maternity Leave - Holiday breaks are long - Work Life Balance mentality - Promotes healthy lifestyle - Provides social support with special events dedicated to special causes
Cons
- It is subtle but you can tell there is a strong preference over men for career advancement than women - They will not fire you, but if they want you gone, they will make your life a living hell to make sure you quit so they don't have to pay severance - They will subtly destroy a whole team that has been successfully implementing projects for over 15 years just because they want to pay less (in upper management's own words: "experience is irrelevant when we can hire people to do this for less money and just replace you") - Annual raises and bonus are "symbolic". Won't even cover inflation.
