Pros
When I first joined it was to ensure extra funds whilst I was at Uni along with this came great discount and great friends for life. As I did fashion at uni I started to get a more keen interested for the company and progressed after uni but wanted to push for a head office role. I then had to go back home and started to work in the Trafford centre and it was by far the worst experience of my life so far to the point I left for H&M as a Visual merchandiser. I was assured of quick progression to management/VM but was stuck on ladies footwear as senior sales. I was treated unfairly, time and time again by the management team especially one individual who I felt had it in for me. Working there changed my opinion on River Island but I will always be grateful for the things i learnt there.
Cons
My personal growth and the management in that particular store.
