Pros
Met some amazing people and that’s about it
Cons
Where do I start.... So called “management” is a joke, always on their phones, either showing other “managers” things about their personal lives or downstairs ladies wear managers standing around gossiping about other members of staff upstairs on menswear and vice Versa. Unprofessionalism at its highest, managers are very cliquey and will gossip whilst customers are within earshot. Standing around in a circle with about 5 managers talking to each other for half an hour about things completely irrelevant to work whilst the level 1 staff run around like headless chickens. Felt as though I was walking on eggshells whenever I had to talk to one manager or whatever he is, the most arrogant and rude person I have ever met in my life. He talks down to people and if he doesn’t like you or if you’re new he looks at you like a piece of dog waste he’s just stepped in. Not naming names obviously but everyone at Trafford knows who I’m talking about. NO TRAINING WHATSOEVER ON TILLS, you literally get one walk through which takes 30 mins it flies by and is very hard to take in all the information at once. You’re then left to your own devices and have to learn everything from scratch and trial and error. Expected to wear a radio with an ear piece, how is this possible when half the radio clips are snapped off at the back and the earpieces are broken? Holidays were almost never approved unless you submitted them 3 months in advance. Normal pay was almost always wrong and they put in the incorrect hours, Overtime was a farce as they didn’t put me down for the hours I had worked and didn’t get paid until months later.
